Pleased to announce that twenty-two crew members from the seized Iranian container vessel, “MV Touska”, have been safely evacuated to Pakistan. The individuals were safely flown in Pakistan last night and will be transferred to Iran today. The Iranian ship is also being backloaded to Pakistani territorial waters for its return to its original owners after necessary repairs. These actions are being coordinated with the support of both the Iranian and the US authorities and surely constitute an important confidence-building measure. Pakistan expresses its appreciation to the United States and Iran, and remains committed to facilitating dialogue, diplomacy, and mediation for the regional peace and security.

I usually don’t have time to open X, but seems like I’m a popular subject of conversation here. A lot of bitterness, but mostly praise from those who know me and have seen my work, for which I am immensely grateful. Just want to get a few things straight - I have worked hard to become who I am, and my parents have worked even harder to raise and educate me. Alhamdullilah, I don’t need favors to get a job. The management at Pakistan TV Digital spent a long time convincing me to join them. I agreed because the plan to become the voice of Pakistan and take charge of our international narrative seemed promising. It also felt like a good opportunity to “give back” to my country and rebuild institutions that have become stagnant over the years. 7 months in, we’ve done a phenomenal job and put together an incredibly talented team. We have 147k subscribers on YouTube already, 207k on Facebook and the numbers are only multiplying. Unfortunately for X trolls, I’m just really good at what I do. Maybe my grandfather is guiding me from heaven, or the genes are simply too strong.🤷🏽‍♀️

What now for Pakistan? ▪️ Limited means, but a new central role as a key mediator that managed to gather the highest-ranking US and Iranian officials around the table for the first time since 1979. ▪️Pakistan’s short and longterm goals are likely to drive sustained engagement. ▪️Steadiness and measured approach of civilian-military duo seems to address needs for both conventional and unconventional diplomacy. ▪️The “Brewed for Peace” coffee cups l at the Islamabad Talks will likely stick — though they have yet to be made available for events with other neighbors. ▪️ “Pakistan cannot overcome this on short notice or coerce both parties. But it could make use of the remaining nine days of the cease-fire to present a proposal on Iran’s nuclear program, to be discussed at ‘Islamabad Talks 2.0,’ shortly before the deadline.” @Simon_W_Fuchs nytimes.com/2026/04/12/wor…

After 21 hours of talks in Islamabad, no agreement was announced. The US says it presented a 'final and best offer,' while Iran says progress depends on 'seriousness and good faith' and respect for its interests, Pakistan TV Digital’s Ayesha Mir reports.
