The horrific attack in Belfast last night is sickening. I have absolutely no tolerance for abhorrent scenes of violence like this on our streets. My thoughts are first and foremost with the victim, and I thank the first responders, including members of the public who intervened.

Of course they are using it for political purposes because politically is the only real way to change anything. Are you so tone deaf that you don’t hear what your own people are begging for? Can you not even fathom that concept? I think you’ve managed to insult a huge part of your population by your statement and you should apologize.

The horrific scenes in North Belfast should not be used by English, right wing politicians to further their own ends. I don’t ever remember them commenting on any of the other hellish things that community has experienced over the years.

Brainwashed. I used to wonder how Hitler et al got the majority of an entire country to turn on their neighbor resulting in the death of 6 million of their once friends and neighbors. Not anymore. When the ally’s won the war, they kept the playbook. I understand that not all asylum seekers are bad, but there is a system and a process. Or there once was and that’s the problem. I have been supporting a family who have been burned out of their home tonight. It is absolutely sickening. I am grateful to everyone who has stepped up to support them and make sure they are safe (including Parent Rooms / Happy Womens Group). This madness must end before someone is killed.
