The freelancer tax nobody talks about: Every new client = prove yourself from scratch. New portfolio link. New intro email. New rate negotiation. New trust-building process. Your last 10 clients loved you. Client 11 has no idea you exist. There's no reputation layer for independent work. That's the infrastructure gap we're closing.

Nobody talks about the mental weight of job searching. Sending 50 applications. Getting 2 responses. Both automated rejections. You start questioning your worth. Your skills. Yourself. But you're not the problem. A system that gives zero feedback and zero transparency is the problem. You deserved better from the start.

The hiring industry has a dirty secret: Most rejections have nothing to do with your ability. They have to do with whether a machine found the right words on your resume. No human saw you. No one evaluated your skills. A filter decided your future. That's not hiring. That's elimination.

Hot take: "Entry level — 3 years experience required" is not a joke anymore. It's a symptom. Companies forgot how to evaluate people. So they outsourced judgment to a list of credentials they don't even verify. Hiring is broken at the foundation. Not the surface.

Unpopular opinion: The problem with job applications isn't that candidates are unqualified. It's that companies have no idea how to measure qualification. A resume is not a skills test. It never was. We built an entire industry on that mistake.
