Put myself to the test and vibe coded a piece of software for free for myself using Claude Code and Google Apps Scripts. The same software companies are charging hundreds per month to the market. It really is wild what you can come up with when you really start to probe it.

A sentence I didn't think I'd be writing in 2026: I'm scheduling LI posts with a deliberate "mistake"/grammatical error, to prove to the audience that I'm human and it wasn't AI generated. Wow.

The year is 2031. I am attending the 438th SEO conference in a row. All SEO work has been replaced by conference talks. Our social feeds fill with pics of influencers on stage. Google's algorithm quietly stopped working years ago, but we never noticed. I wonder what's for lunch.

@AzeemDigital Appreciate it! However I’m pretty ok with this tbh. The asset is branded and self-cites the data. That’s why I do that! In the end it’s all branded reach. Lots of people took the time to tag and that’s nice of them, but I’m only bothered by plagiarism & copycats

I've seen this screenshot no less than 10 times this week on LinkedIn, and not once has anyone credited Mike or smec for the work put in. The desperation for engagement is baffling.

@carolecadwalla I doubt they will have been made aware of the ad content, they will have probably just sold the inventory/space to Google to advertise. Had they known, it seems unlikely they'd accept it.

The news industry is killing itself with dumb decision after dumb decision, esp around AI. Astounded to see this. The Guardian here advertising Google AI Overviews!! This is the latest tech 'innovation' that is killing traffic (and therefore revenue) to all news websites. 🤯
