New data from the ESSENCE Phase 3 trial shows Wegovy (semaglutide 2.4 mg) improved liver injury in patients with MASH even at low levels of weight loss, according to results presented at AASLD 2025.
The analysis also showed improvements across age, gender, and race groups, with trends suggesting benefits in liver scarring as well.
