In November 2025, fathers of the Henrietta Bearcats football team in Texas went viral for riding horses alongside the team bus on Highway 287 while waving American and school flags. Organized by parents like Ross Coleman and Coye Cody to support the team during their playoff run, this "cowboy sendoff" featured men on horseback galloping alongside the bus, creating a memorable, Texas-sized show of support that thrilled the players. You shouldn't ever have a bad day, I told my 7-year-old today as I battled her to go to school for picture day. She fought me on her hair, her outfit, brushing her teeth; down to me having to carry her out the front door, out of the car, spilling the undrunk pink drink I tried bribing her with before getting to school. Mind you, she's not like this at all; I never have bad days like this with her. A reminder: Everyone has their bad days, and even on those bad days, they can turn it around and have a great day. Thank you, Ruthie, for saying sorry. I love you, and she loves her Mommy. We love everyone, even when people are cranky. Remember to love and like everyone you meet and the people you know, be kind to everyone, and spread cheer wherever you are. How do we allow this to happen in America? How is a 12-year-old boy left on the streets for days on end with no help offered? California had over $24 billion go unaccounted for that was dedicated to the homeless. NGOs and nonprofits receive millions for the homeless, yet the problem just gets worse and worse while children often get pulled into these horrific situations in places like Skid Row. Our tax dollars should go towards helping others instead of enriching the pockets of NGOs and nonprofits who often enable the situation to get worse.
