India is not doing this for the climate. India does not have the natural gas resource of the US, and certainly not enough to support the power needs of a population nearly 5X the US. They are investing in domestic solar mfg also. This is energy independence and economics.

Ola says it's built India's first indigenous LFP battery cell.
That's a big claim in an industry where Tesla needed five years and Northvolt went bankrupt trying. Cell manufacturing is among the most punishing industries in the world.
No specs have been published yet but if Ola's claims hold up, it would mark a genuine first for Indian manufacturing.

However the japanese funded bullet train project is standard gauge.
