Erm ok... So, this is how the #sky looks from my garden just now but look at the #Moon more closely in the pic by that I mean expand it, then look. This isn't what I can see, nor has my mobile phone camera been tampered with & I've just cleaned it! Very odd for... #astronomy

There are annual events like meteor showers to observe, & often local planets like Jupiter, showing in the sky to watch & a popular planet is Venus due to its brightness. The #Moon is great to look at & if you've no telescope, you can see its surface details more during twilight.

If you're new to #astronomy, you don't need anything fancy or expensive. Just looking at a clear dark sky will provide plenty of opportunity to see objects e.g. planets & stars & there's the #Moon too! Dark adapt your seeing before for about 20-30 mins (no bright lights) then go!

On December 21st 1968, a simple but moving handshake from both #Moon & #Earth, created for the 1st time ever, a corresponding pathway of connecting forces. #Apollo8 #LaunchDay #Launch #NASA #Space My diagram of the Apollo 8 mission! I thought original NASA one needed an update
