Do you understand what a log scale is? A linear scale, which should never be used in charting shows an equal distance between points. Meaning a move from 10-100 looks the same as a move from 9910-10000. Log scale takes into consideration the percentage of the move. 10-100 would be shown as the equivalent 900% move of 9910-89,910. SMH

I'm not sure I follow. Are you taking issue with his use of the word "vertical"? Technically, of course you are right. Vertical, in a literal sense, could only occur if time stopped and stood still. I took it as an exaggeration to illustrate his point, but obviously "parabolic" would have been a more accurate word choice. That aside, my point remains: you switching to logarithmic creates a chart distortion to subvert his point and I suspect you fully well know this.
