The paper that cheered for:
- Brexit
- Johnson
- Truss
- Farage
- Reform
Now cheering for Trump.
Thereby remaining reliably, catastrophically wrong about pretty much everything…

🚨Trump today:
“We can’t take care of daycare. We’re a big country. We’re fighting wars. It’s not possible for us to take care of daycare, Medicaid, Medicare, all these things.”
The United States has spent:
$21 billion on the Iran war in 30 days.
$100 million on Trump’s golf tab this term.
$200 billion requested for Pentagon weapons.
$8 trillion on wars since September 11th.
But daycare is not possible.
Medicare is not possible.
Medicaid — which covers 72 million Americans including children, seniors, and people with disabilities — is not possible.

@A_AMilne Dear Piglet. Must re-read. Can't remember how this ends
English

Piglet had got up early to pick himself a bunch of violets; and it suddenly came over him that nobody had ever picked Eeyore a bunch of violets. So he hurried out again, saying, “Eeyore, Violets,” in case he forgot, because it was that sort of day. ~A.A.Milne #kindness

Let’s be absolutely clear about what just happened. The United States of America, the country that built NATO, that spent half a century telling Europe that Russia was the enemy, that asked young men from Normandy to Kabul to die for the idea of a free world, has now chosen Russia.
Not drifted toward. Not flirted with. Chosen. Trump calls Putin a genius. Cuts military aid to Ukraine mid-war. Blocks sanctions. Parrots Kremlin talking points about NATO aggression. Invites Lukashenko, Russia’s obedient attack dog, to found a peace board while Russian missiles are still hitting Ukrainian hospitals.
The continent that actually shares a border with this threat. That actually absorbs the refugees. That actually lives under the shadow of what happens when Russia decides a neighbor isn’t really a country. Europe was told for eighty years to trust Washington. To buy American weapons. To let American generals run the alliance. To believe that when it really mattered, America would be there.
It wasn’t there!
It picked the other side and sent an invoice.
Normal Americans, the ones who actually believe in something, should understand what this looks like from here. It looks like betrayal. Clean, deliberate, and permanent. Not a misunderstanding. Not a bad week in foreign policy. A choice.
Europe is building its own army, its own supply chains, its own future.
Because one man wanted to golf with autocrats.

One year ago, the IDF gunned down 15 emergency workers and buried them in a mass grave.
Then they lied about it.
When caught in their lie, they lied again.
When caught in that lie, they lied again.
When caught in that lie, they lied again.
Then the media lost interest.

Our medics were not missing… they were buried. Buried beneath a silence heavier than words, and beneath pain beyond endurance. The survivor, Asaad Al-Nassasra, speaks—his voice bearing witness to loss; to companions who left with him on a humanitarian mission, but he returned alone… leaving them under the soil without a farewell. And on March 30, 2025, the truth emerged as it is: bodies concealed, souls departed, and a wound that will never close. They were deliberately killed by Israeli occupation forces. This is not a story of survival… but a testimony to a tragedy that will remain.

@OunkaOnX He also refuses to understand that NATO is a defensive alliance; it wasn't formed to initiate wars

Wool is the only textile fibre that:
- Regulates body temperature in both directions: warm when cold, cooling when warm, through a moisture-wicking mechanism that no synthetic can replicate
- Is naturally flame-retardant without chemical treatment, which is why it is still the mandatory textile for aircraft seating and racing drivers' undergarments
- Absorbs up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet, then releases it gradually
- Is biodegradable in soil within months, leaving nitrogen as it goes: it is, technically, a slow-release fertiliser
- Grows back. Every year. Without harming the animal. The sheep, in fact, requires shearing. If you don't shear a sheep, it suffers. The shearing is not exploitation. The shearing is a welfare intervention.
What replaced wool in your outdoor gear, your base layers, your running kit, your ski socks?
Polyester. Which is a plastic. Which sheds microplastic fibres into waterways with every wash. Which does not biodegrade. Which cannot be made without petroleum. Which, when it reaches the end of its life, sits in a landfill or an ocean for five hundred years.
The sheep on the Brecon Beacons is producing a renewable, biodegradable, multifunctional technical fibre from grass and rain. No factory. No fossil fuel. No microplastics.
The sheep has been doing this for ten thousand years.
We replaced it with plastic and told ourselves it was progress.
Then told the sheep it was the problem.

Former president of Romania, Traian Basescu: "Donald Trump is reaping exactly what he has sown. He showed contempt for Europeans, he demeaned us, questioned the very existence of NATO and wanted to invade and annex Greenland, a territory that belongs to the European Union. The rejection shown today by European leaders is aimed not at the United States, but straight at Donald Trump.
He comes out of this conflict humiliated, the Hormuz strait is now blocked, he failed to achieve regime change, failed to secure the uranium and proved himself incapable of defending his own allies in the Middle East. All the US allies in the Gulf that saw themselves as protected by the US were struck by Iran almost at will, whenever Iran wanted, with the US being either unwilling or unable to defend them. So Mr. Trump comes out of this with a terrible record.
He started this war having absolutely no idea what he was doing, and even now, I don’t think this man is aware of or understands what he has done. Yes, Iran cannot be allowed to have nuclear weapons, but the way Trump thought he could solve that problem is one that only a child could come up with. This man still doesn’t understand what he has done and continues to be arrogant when asking us for help instead of admitting his mistake."

🔥 Farage roasted again by 🇺🇸 Rep Jamie Raskin
“This is the guy that delivered Brexit to the UK. How he shows his face in public after that debacle is beyond …Isn’t that considered a disaster in the history of England?
I cannot imagine a society that produced some of the greatest writers, poets and musicians… falling for a free speech imposter and charlatan like that.”
Absolutely 💯
