@HowtoADHD We installed a keypad lock on the door so we never get locked out again. I still forget my keys that are right in front of my face as I leave the house, but now it's a minor annoyance and not a whole deal.

Roads were drifting in as we drove today. Saw cars stranded on top of two feet of snow on the gravel road. And yet... nowhere near the worst holiday trip I've driven.

@nicolas09F9 @saronyitbarek Wowwwww... yeah, that's definitely not the same thing at all. And that teacher needed a mentor to slap that baffling idea right out of their head before they pulled that garbage on their students.

@baileysteinfadt @saronyitbarek Ughh a teacher at school tricked us into thinking the exam was just practice for the real one "so that we didn't get nervous" and later told us it was the real one and that didn't go well for me.

If you get emotional and worked up during job interviews, especially to the point of tears, what's helped you stay calm? Advice and strategies appreciated!

@saronyitbarek I have either cried -> bombed, or bombed -> cried about every interview I "really cared" about... and I haven't been upset when using the practice mindset (Who cares if jerks reject me. Screw 'em!) So I set myself up for that "practice" as best I can, even if I really want a job.

@saronyitbarek I go into every one considering it "practice" for the "real one", and I'm only there for that, and maybe to get more data on what kind of place I want to work for. Can't "mess up" and I go home with the info of "I loved talking with them!" vs "They were jerks!" vs "Ehhhhh.. meh."

@ScottBents I'd be ecstatic if @DesMoinesGov could figure out how to make the Target a mile from my house safe to walk or bike to...

@alicegoldfuss My brain has spent the entire day thinking we have to go to work tomorrow because this is the second day off in a row and freaking out that I am trying to relax and not do laundry or whatever....
