Houston Airport has accommodations for Muslims only. They have a dedicated ablution room for ritual washing, plus a separate prayer space right in Terminal D near Gate D15. It’s got prayer rugs, Qurans, beads, even a partition for privacy. The rooms are well maintained and have soft lighting. How and why was this allowed to happen in the United States?

Why has Texas allowed the invasion and have shown continued support of Islamic terrorists?

I have a habit of stopping by airport chapels when I have the time. Most of them have closed down in the US in major airports, but DFW reopened theirs and they’re basically mosques. I had a very uncomfortable experience praying in the chapel on Palm Sunday, but I refused to leave while the Muslims were being so nasty. I refused to leave what is meant to be a temple of the Lord, especially on Palm Sunday. I had a long layover so I waited them out. One man grew frustrated after about 30 minutes and left, but not before others came in. They were clearly having conversations about me in Arabic. They weren’t being shy about letting me know they were talking about me. But I sat and prayed and read the Bible and I did not leave until the last Muslim had cleared out. It was actually a very scary experience given how isolated the chapel was, but I think we need to start staking ground.

In recent years (particularly with updates in 2024), the airport has enhanced facilities to better accommodate Muslim travelers, especially in Terminal D near Gate D15 (close to the existing interfaith chapel and across from or near Gate D16). These include a dedicated ablution (wudu) room connected to a prayer room (sometimes called a musallah). Key features and Muslim-specific items include: Ablution (wudu) room: A separate space for ritual washing (purification of hands, feet, face, etc., before prayer). It includes benches, coat racks, luggage storage space, and is fully ADA-accessible. The room uses calming blue quartz tile for a tranquil aesthetic. Prayer room: Connected to the ablution area, with plush carpeting. It can sometimes be partitioned for privacy. The space is open to all faiths but designed with Muslim needs in mind. It features separate areas or provisions for men and women. Muslim-specific items provided: Copies of the Quran. Prayer rugs (for performing salat/namaz). Prayer beads (tasbih). Turbah (a small clay tablet or disk used by some Shia Muslims to place their forehead on during prostration in prayer). Indication of the qibla direction (toward the Kaaba in Mecca), determined with input from local Houston mosques for accuracy. It's a mosque.

@1109Patricia If it's funded with public money (it's probably not) it would be illegal. Otherwise what is to be done about it. This is how it is done. They throw tons of money around and seduce people to follow. It's predictable and predicted.

@1109Patricia It would be a shame if non-Muslim women took up residence in the men only prayer room. Religion or not, this is the US and you can't discriminate based on sex.

@1109Patricia That is a good question. I have flown in and out of iah for 20 years. I have never seen a chapel (not saying there isn’t one, just saying I haven’t seen it) and Muslim get to take a bath and pray? Talking about separation of church and state. IAH is owned by the city of Houston.

@1109Patricia So much for that separation of church and state. I guess it boils down to which religion you are. Christians are not welcome.

@1109Patricia @ljmwsmith This is blatant religious discrimination because there are no spaces for Christians & Jews! I think we need to bring a class action lawsuit against the airport.

@1109Patricia It is generally illegal for a government-run facility (such as a city-owned airport like Houston's George Bush Intercontinental or Hobby) to provide denomination-specific facilities exclusively to one religious denomination. Period. I would say @AGPamBondi but, well...

@FromMoon19595 @1109Patricia She’s beyond stupid. It’s an interfaith chapel, as is the chapel in terminal C. It is open to all persons of all faiths.

@1109Patricia If there is an interfaith chapel or space where people of all faiths can pray in peace & quiet then that is fine. Setting space aside purely for Muslims is inappropriate & illegal & shows preference to one faith over others. It should be converted to an interfaith space ASAP.🔥🔥

In the next decade, over 1M Chinese communists will be able to vote in American elections. You heard me. Thanks to birth tourism, Chinese billionaires are paying surrogates to birth their children on U.S. soil so the babies are American citizens. The children are taken back to China after birth, raised as communists, then when they’re 18, they’re allowed to vote in U.S. elections. THAT is why birthright citizenship must end. 1M votes swings any election. Soon the Chinese communists will “legally” control our elections. Unless we end birthright citizenship.
