Am I the only one who recognizes this is just a dude saying that as a Toronto Maple Leaf, you’re idolized / worshipped by the fans in this city and it’s a very special and unique feeling?
I get it - the words make it easy to perpetuate this whole “can you fucking believe this guy?!” narrative. Easy clicks.
But damn… give it a rest. Be cool, have some discretion and a little common sense.
