💚Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month 💚Sienna’s Walking / Gait & how it’s improved Sienna’s walking gait over the years has improved amazingly well. From aged 19 months to 5 years old, her walking progressively got worse, however after starting Strength & Conditioning we saw huge changes. 😞 Sienna used to trip and fall multiple times per day and usually bump her head, scratch her face and occasionally break her glasses too. Her reaction time wasn’t great either so she wasn’t able to use her hands to brace herself during the fall. Sienna’s gait pre Strength & Conditioning was really unsteady and her Intoeing was quite severe. Here you can see through training with her S&C coaches past and present and consistently at home her gait has improved dramatically, this was helped through working on building specific muscles as well as lots of unilateral leg exercises Sienna does also have femoral anteversion (rotation of the femur) so she will always have a degree of intoeing but due to the strength she has developed in her legs and core she now trips and falls less often. #cerebralpalsy #cerebralpalsyawareness
