In the dramatic circumstances of war, information must guard against the risk of turning into propaganda. It is every journalist's duty to verify the news, so as not to become a megaphone for power. They must show the suffering that war always brings to populations, which entails showing the face of war and recounting it through the eyes of victims.

@anandmahindra Great job, just one request, please change the positioning of Thar from “beasts to men and women of value”

In the early 1990s, we set ourselves a simple aspiration: to build Mahindra into a globally respected company.
It felt ambitious then. But we believed that if we stayed true to our values, built the right culture, and grew with discipline, global respect would follow.
Three decades later, it’s deeply gratifying to see us ranked #5 in TIME’s Asia-Pacific Best Companies 2026.
Up from #115 last year & the highest-ranked Indian company on the list.
My congratulations to Anish Shah and the leadership team, and my thanks to every Mahindra associate who makes RISE real every day.
And as always, ‘Miles to go before we sleep…’

Proud moment for India. Mahindra ranked #5 on the TIME–Statista Asia-Pacific Best Companies 2026 list and the only Indian company in the Top 5. Built by people. Driven by purpose. #TogetherWeRise

BREAKING: Pope Leo SLAMS Trump’s Oval Office evangelical pro-war powwow! – "War is not holy; only peace is holy!"
Pope Leo XIV, the first American pontiff, issued a powerful condemnation from the Vatican today, directly rebuking the Christian Zionist leaders who gathered in the Oval Office to lay hands on Donald Trump and "bless" his unauthorized war against Iran.
In a moving appeal, the Chicago-born pope declared: "War is not holy; only peace is holy because it is willed by God."
He repeated the phrase several times for emphasis, calling the conflict an "immoral" assault that has already claimed American lives, Iranian civilians (including schoolgirls), and risks drawing the region – and the world – into wider catastrophe.
"If the world is deaf to this appeal, we are certain that God will hear our prayer and the lament of so much suffering," the pope said.
He urged religious leaders worldwide to echo the people's cry for peace, giving voice to the voiceless poor, the displaced, and the earth itself ravaged by destruction.
"We must dare peace," he insisted. "Enough of wars with their painful piles of death, their destruction and displacement." The pontiff framed the moment as a moral crisis: governments must heed the cry of the suffering, not the zealots who sanctify violence.
The response comes as Christian Zionist figures – many tied to the same evangelical networks boosting Trump's "end-times" rhetoric – publicly prayed over the president in the Oval Office, framing the bombardment as divine will and biblical prophecy.
The pope's words cut through that narrative with clarity: no war is holy, no matter how it's dressed in scripture. His Chicago roots and consistent opposition to Trump's policies add extra moral weight to the rebuke, underscoring growing international alarm over the lack of congressional authorization, the human cost, and the reckless escalation without an endgame.
While Trump shrugs off more dead troops as "the way it is" and his energy czar admits the war is a long-term oil grab, the leader of the Catholic Church calls for de-escalation and dares the world to choose peace over bloodshed. When even the pope denounces the war as immoral and the blessings as misguided, the moral bankruptcy of MAGA warmongering is laid bare.

@atulkasbekar #GOgunners Absolutely, winning doesn’t always have to be the beautiful football. Great game management

My Two Cents…
Brad Gilbert once wrote Winning Ugly. Arsenal appear to be writing the sequel. One shot on target is objectively ridiculous. But grinding out a win while playing like you’ve collectively forgotten football; that takes character.
Please rest everyone for the FA Cup.
This is getting repetitive, but Hincapié is ridiculous. To slot into multiple spots across the backline, in the most unforgiving league in the world, and be part of the stingiest defence going, that’s elite.
Also… can we all admit it now?
Gabi, the King of Brazil has been the best CB in the league this year. VVD isn’t even in the chat. This year.
Credit to Brighton. They actually tried to play football instead of parking a double-decker in their own box. Turns out it’s possible to face Arsenal without building a low-block fortress.
Glad Zubi finally got a breather. Saw a stat: 311 km run already this season — more than anyone else in the league. If Arsenal look slightly off-tempo, it’s because the Spanish metronome has been running on fumes.
We also need Martin back yesterday. The press, the control, the structure, it all starts with the skipper. And with respect… Eze at 10 isn’t it.
Finally! Saka cuts in on to his left n scores. Probably the first time wt his trademark move this season? Off a deflection but yay! More pls
Thought Arteta nailed the Mosquera → Calafiori sub. The moment Minteh skinned him once, Mikel shut that door immediately. Game management.👏🏽
Away fans were superb. I’ve watched dozens at Highbury/Emirates but never an away game. That’s firmly on the bucket list.
Other notes:
• Elliot Anderson, now I see the hype. What a goal.
• Anyone still lighting candles for Emery over Mikel can probably stop now.
• Murillo has been quality. Hard to see him staying at Forest regardless of how their season ends.
• Osula wow! Heck of a hit. Some justice after the red card. Ramsey’s knee seemed to lock I thought. Not a dive

@VishalBhargava5 It will actually get so bad that people will move out and there wont be any buyers

Mumbai Builders: While an honourable minority are complying to keep pollution in check, a majority are in violation. You probably believe having the most builder-friendly govt in India's history provides immunity. You have been right so far. But things are out of control. Do the right thing for your own families. If not at some point it will get so bad that all construction will have to be banned.

I started running a decade ago. Every morning, I’d find myself on Carter Road, chasing the ocean breeze. That wind is what made me fall in love with this city and running.
I want to feel it again. And dystopian as it is, I put on a mask before lacing my shoes. It took me back to the pandemic. Except there’s no virus in the air endangering our life. The air itself could kill us.
I never imagined a day when the very thing we breathe to survive would become a luxury. My doors and windows stay shut. I bought an air purifier. I moved my runs to a treadmill, staring at a wall instead of the sea. And it still isn’t enough.
Running is the thing that keeps me whole. It clears my head. It heals something in me that nothing else reaches. But now the act I built my life around feels like it’s quietly destroying me. Pollution is undoing what years of discipline and sweat and devotion built, one breath at a time.
This isn’t seasonal anymore. It shouldn’t be political. But somewhere between the data and the denial, people like me are out there in masks, grieving a morning run, mourning a city we loved.
Is basic accountability really too much to ask for?
