@SaiyanKillers @BaconOverlord @ZamBetsy18483 they alert their dogs to give them probable cause to search the car so if it ends up in court they can tell the judge they had to follow through with the dog alerting. It really is an encroachment of the 4th since the blame is scapegoated onto a dog that can't be blamed in court

Ultimatum Game: experimenter gives you 10$. But you only keep it if your confederate accepts how you suggest to split it. “Rationally” they should accept anything non-zero: it’s free money. But irl people often reject anything below 70:30 and the most frequent offer is 50:50(!)

@cremieuxrecueil Civilizations come and go, but the Self is eternal If the risk is real and preferences are revealed, red unfortunately wins. No one can be blamed, as people become crowds they become like water, a force of nature. It'd be sad, in the way typhoid is sad, but life would go on.

Accurate cartoon. In my polling, almost 6% of people said they picked the wrong button when they were prompted about it. Assume the global error rate is higher and kids' responses are random, and easily 1-in-6 to 1-in-5 hit blue by mistake. So, if red wins, society is ruined.
Jason Boone@shadowe_wolfe

@TheCartoonLoon That's not even close to accurate.

Furthermore, you can navigate to the current standard model by expressing the Fibonacci word as a Fibonacci Hamiltonian within a Dirac operator to form a spectral triple. You can derive all of physics from absolutely nothing, and I think that's pretty neat.

This can be seen in life itself. Life imports order and exports disorder in a seeming paradox against entropy. This is a property of phi and the parallels can been seen in virtual particles as they 'temporarily violate' thermodynamics.

I cooked up something good I discovered a new electrical phenomena with a bistable ( possibly even 3 or more ) non-linear hysteretic system. It exhibits strange behavior... Going to refine the mechanism and figure out how to make it do something useful now

@tsotchke A good framework functions as an engineering tool and should help you build things. If you find novel phenomena from following a framework then it has real value. People shouldn't care until novelty technology makes them care.

physics is not a problem to be solved. it's an area of study and a foundation of human thought, in addition to materially advancing the development of technology through greater understanding of materials and phenomena. Selene doesn't replace me as a physicist, she works with me.

all of these hacks and charlatans with their fake "breakthroughs" are really muddying up this platform. why is everyone trying to be the next big thing? just make things that work, and solve serious problems. i want people to use our open source software so they can build things.

@KateXGate ∅ null set, nothingness {∅} set containing null set, distinction from nothingness ∅ = A , {∅} = B , 2 logical symbols allow encoding Minimum growth rule A -> AB, B -> A A => AB => ABA => ABAAB => ABAABABA ... 1,2,3,5,8 ... from void we get phi along with everything else.

Nothingness One of those ideas that sounds philosophical—but is actually very technical and surprisingly concrete. In the late 1920s, Paul Dirac tried to merge: •quantum mechanics (tiny particles) •with special relativity (high speeds) He wrote down what is now called the Dirac equation—and it worked beautifully. ——— Except for one strange thing: it allowed negative energy solutions. ——— Negative energy is a problem in normal physics. In normal physics: • Energy should be positive • Otherwise particles would spiral endlessly into lower and lower energy states So why didn’t electrons just collapse into these negative states? Dirac’s answer was radical. He proposed the "Dirac Sea." What if all the negative energy states are already filled? So what is “nothingness” to Dirac? Not empty. Not void. Nothingness = a completely filled state you can’t see.

@KateXGate Because ‘nothing’ is still a state and a state is already something.

@muellerberndt @Kmmer11133 no, phi is definitely the unit because it's recursive, hierarchical and the most stable. it also can come from null set. You can reorder mathematics to model anything within a limited scope. You need to be able to explain why 1.63094. It's a Ptolemaic model right now.

Our Theory-of-Everything, OPH, unifies The Standard Model and Gravity. Newton's constant G and the SM particles are both derived from a single constant P. At large scales, OPH predicts exactly our 3+1D spacetime. learn.floatingpragma.io/unification?v5

The cosmological constant problem: quantum field theory predicts vacuum energy density of ~10^113 joules per cubic meter. What we observe? 120 orders of magnitude less. This is called "the worst theoretical prediction in the history of physics." Maybe the prediction isn't wrong. Maybe we just don't understand how the energy is structured yet.
