NIH is intentionally inducing muscular dystrophy in dogs, watching them deteriorate, and then killing them. In six days, Director @NIHDirector_Jay will decide if more animals will have to suffer. These videos just came back from a @WhiteCoatWaste FOIA request, and they're heartbreaking. The dogs are seen struggling to walk, clearly in pain, and unable even to hold their tongues in their mouths. Over $15,000,000 of our tax dollars have gone to cause this suffering. Secretary Kennedy promised this would end. Current NIH funding for this University of Washington lab expires April 30th. The university already stated its intention to seek renewal. Nicole Kleinstreuer, the NIH's animal testing czar, and Director Jay Bhattacharya will decide whether that happens. Tag @SecKennedy, @NIHDirector_Jay, and @NIH. There is no reason this continues except that nobody with the authority to stop it has decided to use it yet.

Animal advocates in Los Angeles are sounding the alarm on what Mayor Bass has allowed to happen to animals on Skid Row. Dogs are tied up, desperate for water. Another dog was rescued with rocks in her stomach. One homeless woman had 11 dogs and cats confined to four cages and admitted tying a dog’s mouth shut so she wouldn’t bark. Another dog was rescued with its eyes and privates glued shut. One dog had a leg rotting so badly it had to be amputated. The dog’s owner was on drugs and had been trying to dissect the leg with tweezers. “Puppies are being sold on the street. Others are left for dead and thrown away like trash. Some are being used to test drugs, making sure nothing is laced with fentanyl.” This horror goes on daily, and Mayor Bass is doing little to address it. She’s too busy defending illegals and wasting critical resources on them. If watching this video doesn’t enrage you into demanding government action, then I don’t know what to say. (ktla5news on IG)

You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him. I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Homeless people are using dogs to test drugs for them on Skid Row in Los Angeles, California. Non-profit group Starts With One Today says dogs are being abused, thrown away, sold for drugs, neglected, and fed drugs to make sure there is no fentanyl. Animal advocates are ripping Mayor Karen Bass and other elected officials for not taking enough action. “We’re coming out here, risking our lives to help these dogs with no support from the government,” said volunteer Joey Tuccio.

NEW: U.S. Marine Combat Veteran, Mike Egan, races for 27 hours, traveling more than 110 miles in a wheelchair at the G1M Ultra. Egan was seen getting out of his wheelchair at one point due to the mud. The Go One More Ultra is a race in which contestants run a 4.2-mile loop every hour on the hour until only one person remains.
