@TylerMcGuirk_ I think RPG fandom being insular for so long made it so some RPGs treated as sacred and some are designated as sin eaters. There's a lot of genuine love for CT, but a lot of in-group signaling and pressure to conform, too. Some people get very weird about it

I've played several other oldschool rpgs and respect its influence. I have my own personal tastes and this has nothing to do with release year or contrarianism

finished chrono trigger for the first time I'm surprisingly underwhelmed when this is a game that's been held in high esteem for decades. I respect its scope, structure, and presentation but the writing refuses to flesh itself out and the gameplay is thoroughly unremarkable

Beyond the gross violations of journalistic ethics, the specific candidate she was advising was already responsible for mass death and is going to be responsible for a lot more mass death. As tawdry and morbidly entertaining as this story is, she’s also complicit in great evil.
