Masters and PhDs at elite universities are also way easier to get into than undergrad. An Ivy League masters doesn't really impress many people and they're cash grabs for elite schools. UChicago and Columbia are notorious for expensive masters that do nothing for your career.

Whenever I give Harald Uhlig a book recommendation, he goes and buys it. Last time I met with him I told him about Brezis’s functional analysis textbook and Selgin’s False Dawn. When I met with him yesterday he had both on his shelf. I told him about Sumner’s Midas Paradox and The Money Illusion, and he immediately purchased both. I gotta think of an even better recommendation for next time.

McCain is honestly a genius for doing Youtube on top of having a successful NBA career. Yeah, the money isn't comparing to his future NBA salary but it is going to help him a LOT. More sponsors, career after the NBA, will only continue to grow especially if he gets to a starting position eventually and maybe add some rings with OKC. Not even talking about the tax implications here. His NBA Salary income is taxed at roughly 50% with the tax bracket on top of state taxes where as I'm sure he has a separate business set up just for his Youtube+Social media income that won't be as roughly taxed and he'll keep more of it than just adding to his NBA Salary tax rate to his personal. (if he doesn't he should fire his accountant)
