It doesn’t matter who you have at corner if the middle of the field is consistently open. Déjà vu all over again.

I knew when the Packers finally picked a receiver there would not be any criticism of it allowed, no matter how fair, reasonable or accurate.

@Peter_Bukowski Crazy to think the league sources you have are as reliable as a magic 8 ball

I can confirm Corbin's reporting here. League source told me GB has been working on this and has an offer they think can land DK Metcalf. Then the hope is trading Jaire Alexander to backfill some of the lost draft capital if they can get it.

@KenIngalls First your CPA licenses magically made you a cap expert and now it makes you a master in psychology. I must have missed the memo when I got my license

It *appears* Romeo Doubs did not address the team after coming back from his team suspension and then dodged the media after practice to take accountability. Jaire Alexander did both after his suspension. He may be back, but I'm not certain all is resolved with Romeo.

Since the storming of the capitol, Rashan Gary has a higher pressure rate than Nick Bosa. Coincidence? I’ll let you decide.

Yep. My quick breakdown: 1. Gute & GB got the Jones valuation basically spot on. Whether it’s the right move or not we will see, be but Gute is not a villain here. 2. Jones has every right to play where he wants to play & given the choice I believe he would have preferred to be the guy in GB. Jones to me is not the villain here. 3. So who is the villain? Nobody. This is just business. And Packers fans should be used to this more than any other fans in the world. The losers in this deal: 1. Packers fans. Another kick to the dick to see an all time favorite Packer in purple and yellow 2. The Vikings. Minnesota is not on a Super Bowl timeline. Please keep spending money on one year mercenaries while Sam Darnold is your QB. 3. Aaron Jones’ chances of winning- Listen, he has every right to go to wherever he wants, get the most money, and be a starter. But Minnesota isn’t in a spot to win anything right now. And that sucks for Jones.

I'm not even saying the Packers were wrong. They clearly got his market value right!

@AndyHermanNFL It seems that the league has adjusted to his defensive scheme since he was a DC and is better equipped to handle now than it was during that time. Is comparing his success as a DC then really reflective of future success?

There's a lot of nuance with Staley, and his defenses as head coach were abysmal. It's also worth noting his year as DC he had prime Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey, but the success he had in his one season was undeniable.
Brennen Rupp@Brennen_Rupp

The lone year that Brandon Staley was the DC for the Rams they ranked: No. 1 against the pass. No. 1 in yards allowed. No. 1 in points allowed. They were 2nd in the league in sacks. They were 3rd against the run. He would be a slam dunk of a hire.

Aside from ranking top 10 in most metrics, here’s how I think of it: Which NFL QBs would you even consider trading Jordan Love for right now? Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, CJ Stroud, Jalen Hurts, Brock Purdy, Justin Herbert…and that’s it? That’s 9.
