Mansoor Delane transferred to LSU ahead of the 2025 season after spending his first three collegiate years at Virginia Tech, where he was Third Team All ACC in 2024. Delane took his game to a new level after arriving in Baton Rouge, earning First Team All SEC and unanimous All American honors in 2025 while starting 11 games. Delane's college career finished with him having played 2,449 snaps (1,356 in coverage), logging 193 tackles, 18 PBUs, 4 forced fumbles and 8 interceptions. He only allowed 88 catches off of 185 targets, for an impressive 47.6 completion % in his area over four seasons. Measureables: 5'11 3/4", 187lbs. 30" arms, 8 7/8 hands. 22 years old. Delane skipped most Combine drills but blazed a 4.38 40 at yesterdays LSU Pro Day. Strengths Polish: Scheme-versatile technician who projects as an immediate NFL starter at boundary corner. Elite in press-man coverage: Uses quick, efficient jabs and foot slides to disrupt releases at the line, then mirrors receivers tightly with fluid hips and patient feet. Rarely loses leverage or gets beat vertically: Reactive athleticism lets him close windows quickly once the ball is in the air. Outstanding instincts in off coverage and zone: Anticipates route combinations, processes high-low reads cleanly, and breaks on the ball with excellent timing. Physical and competitive at the catch point: Uses length and body control to contest passes without drawing frequent flags. Willing downhill run defender: Sheds blocks and delivers thumping tackles; Delane converted from a safety and it shows. High football IQ. Verified long speed. Weaknesses Below-ideal arm length: Bigger, stronger receivers can out contest him at the catch point when his positioning isn't perfect. Occasionally caught upright in space: This can slow down his transition making him late to change direction against sudden route breaks. Focus in deep zone: Can occasionally lose focus in deep zone as his eyes wander toward the quarterback. Average functional strength: Will need to add a bit more mass match up against the league’s more physical outside receivers. Bottom Line: Delane is the top cornerback in a strong 2026 group. His coverage polish, instincts, and ball production make him a guarantee Week 1 starter who can develop into one of the best in the NFL over time. Yesterdays 40 cemented his spot in the top 10 overall. His ability to handle press man duties and contribute in the run game are premium asests; high floor, high ceiling perfect for a rebuilding secondary. #GeauxTigers

Hard coaching is under attack! I appreciate all the coaches that poured into me and helped me develop into a better man. Sometimes that came with tough love. Young people today need real old school coaching, not cheerleading

Sonny Styles entered college as a highly touted safety but made a seamless transition to off ball linebacker ahead of the 2024 season. By his senior year in 2025, he had emerged as a center piece of Ohio State's championship-caliber defense. His background as a former safety gives him a natural feel for coverage, while his frame and athletic testing scream modern NFL linebacker. Styles finished his career as a Buckeye having logged 2,172 snaps, amassing 228 total tackles, 39 pressures, 10 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 1 interception and 2 defensive touchdowns. Styles was awarded Ohio State's 'Block O' jersey for the 2025 season and named First-Team All American; won the National Championship with the Buckeyes in 2024. Measureables: 6'5", 244lbs, 4.46 50, a 43.5-inch vertical, 11-foot-2 broad jump, and a 1.56-second 10-yard split. Arm length 32 7/8". Strengths Elite athletic profile: Rare size-speed combination allows him to cover sideline-to-sideline like a smaller defender while still delivering physicality at the point of attack. Coverage instincts: Extremely natural due to his safety background. Fluid in zone with excellent awareness of opposing QB, mirrors tight ends and backs effectively in man coverage, and uses long arms to disrupt passing lanes. High football IQ: Adjusts alignments pre-snap and shows scheme versatility (Mike, Will, overhang, or big nickel). Communicator on the field. Sharp processing and play diagnosis; triggers with urgency and rarely misses tackles, making him a true three-down contributor. Run defense: Took a big step forward in Senior year; arguably was the best run defender in the country. Violent hands to shed blockers, strong anchor, explosive closing burst, and rarely miss tackles in the open field. True downhill mentality. Leadership intangibles. Weaknesses Limited linebacker experience: Only two full seasons after converting from safety; though you can argue the speed at which he picked it up is also impressive. Still room for him to grow as he occasionally forgets his gap integrity. Occasional hip tightness: Mainly shows up in man assignments against quick twitch slot receivers, but not a big issue. Still developing as a blitzer: First step burst is there but take on technique needs refinement still. Bottom Line: Styles' elite athletic profile and production to match - despite only playing the position for two years full time - has teams with top 10 picks salivating over drafting him. There is a ton of meat left on the bone, and yet Styles will start immediately in the NFL. His ceiling is All-Pro, and there's a very good shot he hits it. In addition to the athlete, the vicious nature he plays downhill and natural coverage instincts make him a truly versatile piece who will fit any scheme. #GoBucks

Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love profiles as an immediate NFL starter and three-down workhorse with Pro Bowl/All-Pro upside in any scheme. Love is a former 4-star recruit and high-school state sprint champion (10.54-10.76 100m) who exploded as Notre Dame’s featured back the past two seasons after backing up Audric Estime as a freshman. He’s a dynamic, three-phase runner who transformed the Irish offense into a CFP contender. Measurables: 6'0", 212-214 lbs, 32" arms, 9⅛" hands. Combine: 4.36-second 40-yard dash (tying Jahmyr Gibbs). Love took 362 carries for 2,497 yards (6.9 YPC), and 35 TDs, adding 55 receptions for 517 yards and 5 TDs. 2025 Doak Walker Award winner, Heisman finalist, unanimous All-American; set Notre Dame single-season records with 21 total TDs and a 98-yard CFP touchdown run. Strengths Elite big-play speed and burst: Track-verified long speed and instant acceleration make him a constant home-run threat; erases pursuit angles, glides in the open field, and re-accelerates after contact. Multiple sources call him a “game-breaker every touch” with top-tier explosiveness. Vision, patience, and football IQ: Presses the line, lets zone blocks develop, finds creases decisively, and manipulates defenders. Excellent processor in gap/zone schemes with advanced maturity for his age. Always knows where the space is. Contact balance, elusiveness, and YAC: Spins, hurdles, stiff-arms, and falls forward consistently (4.5+ yards after contact); forces missed tackles while maintaining forward lean. Ball security: Only one fumble his entire college career, with zero lost. Receiving versatility: Natural hands, smooth routes (including slot work), and mismatch ability vs. linebackers; three-level threat who adds explosive plays in the passing game. Pass protection mentality: Willing and technically sound in many reps (squares up, holds ground) despite tendency to lunge or dip head on some blitz / stunt reads. High football IQ, leadership, character. Extremely durable: Did not miss a single game in college. Weaknesses Occasional impatience and inside-run limitations: Can get eager and bounce outside prematurely rather than setting up interior lanes; work between the tackles is solid but not dominant, with choppy cuts that occasionally sap momentum. Power and short-yardage profile: Leaner/leggy build means he’s not a consistent pile-mover or goal-line hammer; relies more on finesse, speed, and balance than brute force in stacked boxes. Hurdling tendency: Leaps over defenders more than necessary, creating exposure to big hits (though he protects the ball extremely well overall). Bottom Line: Love is the clear-cut RB1 in the 2026 class and a superior prospect to Ashton Jeanty from last year. He has every trait you are looking for to become a franchise RB1, even as a rookie. Think of him as a faster, somehow more explosive Jahmyr Gibbs or a modern Jamaal Charles. #GoIrish 🍀

Miami CB Keionte Scott, who showed out at his pro day today with a 40 in the low- to mid 4.3s, is an impressive prospect. Athleticism on top of his football IQ, which he put on display for @judybattista and me on The Insiders earlier this month.

🚨🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨🚨 Miami nickel defensive back Keionte Scott just ran an unofficial 4.25 40-yard dash at his Pro Day. One of the three fastest DB times ever. 😱😱😱 Scott’s draft stock continues to rise, as a top 50 player in the class.

I agree with him, this is highly inappropriate behavior for little kids to be doing in the end zone. Shame on these coaches and how are the parents OK with this?!

TRAGIC LOSS… THIS IS HEARTBREAKING NHL reporter Jessi Pierce and her three children have tragically lost their lives in a house fire in Minnesota. She was just 37… a respected voice covering the Minnesota Wild for years. In an instant… an entire family gone. The NHL community says they’re devastated—and you can feel it. This isn’t just news… this is a reminder of how fast everything can change. Prayers up for the Pierce family 🙏🏾

As an AD, I remind our coaches that growth happens outside of comfort zones. We have to push our athletes to become better players and better people. At the same time, that push has to be balanced with positive reinforcement and genuine care. Be just as quick and loud to congratulate as you are to correct.
