Weekly client meetings at Fluxon trained me for this: To think on my feet, speak honestly, and be fully present. That’s the growth I didn’t expect. And the moment I wrote the candidate’s name down with a smile.

As I answered, I noticed something else. I wasn’t pulling from notes. No script. No prep. Just a real, live conversation - and the clarity surprised me.

“Why did you leave product to join consulting?” A candidate asked me this mid-interview. I froze. Then surprised myself with the answer. 🧵

@RikNieu I've been writing down a list of problems I face. Hasn't led to much, but it's a great muscle to practice. Then I discuss these problems with friends. So far they've laughed at them, but I'm excited to keep trying.

I think I'm going to create an annoyance list over the next few weeks. Every time something annoys me, on the list it goes Maybe if I do it consciously like this, and have my pains spelled out in black and white and staring me in the face, it would spark something

Anyone else find it incredibly hard to spot problems, or "find their own itch to scratch"? I was reading @tdinh_me 's latest blog post and he mentioned how his products were all basically made as solutions to his own frustrations. Which makes sense But, with his annoyance with chatGPT - I mean, I went through the same experience with it as he did - but it never annoyed me to such a degree that I thought I should take action and build a product to fix it I wonder how many goldmines are floating around me that I'm too blind/numb to see 🤔

@theotarr_ Maybe wrapper represents incremental progress. Building on top of what exists. In which case it's increased value.

@robjama Yes! We need tools like that. I was in a discord meeting recently that had a boring button, pressing it anonymously showed the speaker they're taking too long.

Imagine having a game clock to track meeting time and a 24-sec shot clock for each speaker to make their point. Fouls for talking to much, too many fouls and you're ejected. Efficiency, engagement, & a dash of competition could make meetings a... slam dunk

I'm very excited about this. Please add 3D models of your products to Shopify! If you are on any recent theme they will be automatically displayed on web and shop and can even be placed virtually in a room from the brower.
Harley Finkelstein@harleyf

AR is an incredible tool but right now, creating a 3D model is complicated, timely, expensive and not practical for many brands. We’re changing that @Shopify. Today, with the release of #iOS17, we’re making it possible for all our merchants to create 3D models from the palm of their hand in under 20 mins 🤳 No more expensive gear, agency meetings, or long wait times. All you need is: - Good lighting - A place where you are able to walk around your product 360 degrees - An iPhone Pro, using iOS 17 and the latest version of the @Shopify app This is major. Just another way to create interactive buying experiences for your customers. @Shopify is just getting started in spatial commerce.

iOS 17 music player looks like the player I shipped at Anghami 5 years ago. It's a floating button instead of being attached to the tab bar. Feeling avant-garde.

@CopySutra I go in cycles. Some months I can't get past 10 pages, others I can't put a book down. But it's also the author's responsibility to keep you hooked. Many books used to be blogs, so probably the same effect?

Now this is a good reason why I would read a book. But still, I can't get myself to focus on a 100-150 page book on the same topic for a very long time. It gets boring too fast with most of them. And I can't help myself but to ditch the reading. I read a sh!t ton of blogs though.

I don't read self help books. Ghostwriters on X are doing that job for me and giving me the juicy bits everyday. 😂 Or I simply use ChatGPT to get the 10 best lessons. Am I missing something?

ChatGPT is everyone's top pick for an AI assistant. But it's not psychic. Ask well to get the best results. The art is in the prompt.

@batlounis @_nightsweekends You use "distill" twice - once in the header and once in the subheader. I don't think "distill" is a strong enough word for the header. Maybe try something like "Edit hours of video footage in seconds." Tells me this thing makes my life easier and it's fast.

@natiakourdadze @_buildspace both are tools that use AI to segment video, but the purpose is different. Roughcut is meant to integrate in an editor's workflow, by writing down their creative vision and continue editing in their pro tools (premiere, DaVinci...). If you use these editors, lmk!
