Today’s visit to Eagle’s Nest on @WWIImuseum Easy Company Tour found the nest covered in clouds and snow.

Today concludes 18 days of touring across France and Belgium with @LegerBattleTour Commando Operations of the Second World War, France under the Jack Boot and Battle of the Bulge. A great few weeks away and so good to see many guests who have toured with me before over previous years. Now looking forward to a little rest ahead of D-Day 82 commemorations.

@thelornashow Are the other parties in Nuneaton and Bedworth going to be able to reply to that attacks from Cllr George Finch this morning on the show? Reform did not take a majority of the votes and insulting comments on-air need challenging. For example the vote of no confidence was to remove him as leader due to how he has treated others. As long as Reform still had support of a few other councillors they could carry on under a new leader. That is exactly what happened at the borough council in January when the leader here was replaced by deputy. The actual results were

But you have stayed silent for years on the unacceptable crime in the town centre? You have offered excuses for Warwickshire Police. Why the sudden change. Why aren’t you prepared to hold the Police to account on that. Or maybe you have focussed on road traffic offences as the greens want all cars off the road if they had their way. Drink and drug driving is a serious offence, so is the crime in the town centre that effecting residents.

This information on there being 16 cases is the result of me asking about one case on St Nicolas Park estate in Nuneaton. Great work by LDR reporter in asking how many others have happened.

PCSO’s are quite pointless to be honest. And Warwickshire Police policy allowing them to drive vehicles or be driven around defeats the objective of the limited role. They should be walking the beat and using public transport to get to their neighbourhoods. Ive lost count of how many I’ve seen driving or sitting in cars just on their phones, heads down not even observing. They are intelligence gathers effectively and you cant do that sitting in a car or not walking the area. Ive seen one PCSO walking Milby in the last 3-4 years I would say. The role should be scrapped and more Police Constables employed who can enforce the law. Overall Neighbourhood policing in our town has failed, huge extractions to backfill response team or deployed elsewhere where in the county. Zero pressure from cllrs to hold WP to account, you have offered excuses for a long time to them. Why the sudden change, was it purely to try and gain votes to make out you were listening to residents? You have said nothing on the plague of crime in the town centre for years and then two weeks before an election you push for FOI’s and claim to be holding them to account after giving them excuses for months. Your timeline of posts reveal this.

I have been told we will at some point get another new PCSO who is currently in training. The massive churn and long gaps in cover is not helpful.

Very disappointed and extremely angry that we are losing another PCSO in Nuneaton East. We are getting more housing and with it more issues with crime and Anti Social Behaviour. @warkspolice please do not keep doing this. @ClaireH_NN
