What needs to be understood about this comment is that it does not come from the mind of Donald Trump alone. It comes from the minds of his closest advisors and inner circle that led us to this disaster. The Iran Hawks in the administration want one thing, and one thing only: The complete and total removal of Iran from the face of the earth. Period. It will NEVER be good enough for these people until the entire country of Iran ceases to exist. It’s not about “saving the Iranian people”. It never has been. You don’t threaten to “wipe out an entire civilization” when you care about their people. The same “advisors” that pushed for this debacle have been whispering in the ear of Trump that Qatar is the enemy. Oman is the enemy. NATO is the enemy. Everyone is the enemy if they do not blindly support the zealots and cult leaders within this administration. The Middle East joining the Abraham Accords? Are you out of your mind? Bombing Oman? That’s exactly what we need. ANOTHER war from the “no new wars” President. Regime change is an impossibility. And even if it was possible? The Hawks in the administration would just whisper, “they’ll be back”. Trump’s closest advisors, the ones TRULY driving our Iran War strategy, will never be satisfied until the entire country of Iran is removed from the face of the earth. We are surprised by such rhetoric directed at Saudi Arabia; this is not the approach for which American diplomacy is known, but rather seems more like Netanyahu speaking from the White House. Talking about the Kingdom joining the Abraham Accords as if it were a mandatory directive does not reflect a language of respect between nations, but rather a mindset that seeks to usurp sovereign decision-making. I very much appreciate President Trump’s desire to end the Iranian conflict with a diplomatic solution that is real and sustainable.   I have complete confidence in President Trump and his team to achieve this shared goal.   However, the biggest news out of the cabinet meeting is President Trump’s determination to expand the Abraham Accords, to include Saudia Arabia making peace with Isreal. This would be the biggest change in the Middle East in thousands of years, effectively ending the Arab-Israeli conflict. I am convinced that President Trump -- above all others -- has the ability to make this happen. He has been a good, reliable partner to Saudi Arabia and the Crown Prince, and no one has been a better friend of Israel than President Trump.   I have been working on normalization for years, including during the Biden administration, because I know this leads to a lasting peace and a new Middle East that could become an economic powerhouse, not a powder keg.   I will do everything in my power, working in a bipartisan fashion, to help President Trump achieve peace between Saudi Arabia and Israel.
