Fantastic man. Made a terrible mistake in his late teens, served his time in the big house, got himself educated and remade himself as one of the most highly respected Mandarins of the NSW Public Service. When I speak to juvenile prisoners, I use his example 4 their inspiration.

Thanks, @RoyalMail & @auspost. On 19/8 I mailed a birthday card from Whimple, England. Today, 18/9, it arrived in Frankston South, Australia. It literally would have been quicker to have booked a flight, spent 2 weeks in quarantine, had a week's holiday, & delivered it myself.
