Just imagine this for a second… you’re an actor, you work hard, believe in yourself, and still people keep making fun of your face. That’s not “jokes” anymore—that’s straight-up bullying. And the worst part? Some people are actually proud of it. Now think about it—what if it was your daughter, your wife, or your son going through the same thing? Would it still feel funny? People out here acting like posting these comments makes them look cool. But seriously, what did she even do? She worked hard, gave auditions, and got the role. If you don’t like the movie, just skip it. Why go out of your way to put someone down? At first, the Milly Alcock–Will Poulter resemblance jokes felt harmless, but now it’s turning into something ugly. I haven’t even watched any of her movies or shows yet, so I don’t know how she is as an actress. But seeing the kind of stuff people comment under my posts honestly makes me feel really bad for her. #Supergirl #DCU #MillyAlcock

Premier Wab Kinew owes the Jewish community, and the public at large, an immediate apology. Speaking at the federal NDP convention, @WabKinew attacked U.S. policy by declaring, “Let the Epstein class fight the Epstein war.” That line was an invocation of a loaded and poisonous antisemitic dog-whistle which has gained traction around north America over the past months. The idea that sinister, powerful Jewish elites are manipulating events from behind the scenes. When public figures reach for that kind of language, they enter the territory of classic antisemitic conspiracy rhetoric, whether they choose to acknowledge it or not. Jews have lived with the consequences of these narratives for generations – the content changes, the narrative does not. Premier Kinew used that frame in a major public address. That is profoundly reckless, and wholly unacceptable from a premier. He must apologize clearly, publicly, and without qualification. He must also undertake formal training on antisemitism, which B’nai Brith is prepared to facilitate, so that he understands the history of these tropes, the damage they cause, and the responsibility elected officials bear when they speak on matters touching Jewish safety and dignity. Leadership requires judgment. On this occasion, Wab Kinew showed a serious lack of it.

@govt_corrupt They could also just pass a law that gives passenger trains the priority over freight trains which would significantly improve VIA's on time percentage.

High speed rail from Toronto to Quebec is dumb. It'll easily be a hundred billion dollar, multi-decade disaster. Govt insiders love it because of all the lucrative contracts they'd get. Liberals love it because of the millions they could skim. It's a money laundering project.

Oh for fuck sakes... here we go again!! Another “rebellious misunderstood girl with a massive chip on her shoulder”... all angsty and jaded and “I don’t wanna be a hero” until she suddenly decides to save the day anyway in the most predictable fashion imaginable. They took Supergirl... that bright, hopeful, and pleasant lady, and turned her into yet another brooding, edgelord wearing her trauma on her sleeves, with massive attitude problems, zero charm, and the personality of a rotten wet cardboard that had old Chinese takeout in it that's been left forgotten in a hot car in the summer... It's the same exact formula they do with so many of these "woman heroes" where they make her an unlikable loser at first, give her a sad backstory that lands like a quapraplegic breakdancer, have her reject the system (the patriarchy), then watch her reluctantly become the big, strong boss girl woman while looking miserable about it and complaining the whole time. Absolutely mid. Predictable. Lazy as hell... another misunderstood rebel with daddy issues

Today, a group of Albertan parents of trans youth went to the Legislature to demand a meeting with Premier Danielle Smith. She didn't just refuse to meet. She refused to acknowledge the request. She made their families suffer, and refuses to hear their stories.

At the 2026 Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2), Christopher Eccleston confirmed a new condition for his possible return to #DoctorWho: "Here’s the thing: Doctor Who’s written for boys. There has never been a female showrunner of Doctor Who. So my dream is this: there was a little girl who was, I don’t know — six, seven, eight — in 2005 when my series went out, and she gets the job, and she asked me back? I’d go back like a shot." Today, the federal New Democratic Party selected its new leader. It is clear that the direction of the federal party under this new leader, someone who openly cheered for the defeat of the Alberta NDP government, is not in the interests of Alberta. Last year, Alberta’s New Democrats voted overwhelmingly to make membership in the federal party optional. Many thousands of our provincial members, including myself, are not members of the federal party. We are a big tent and welcome the support of people who vote for every federal party. We believe in Alberta and we believe in Canadian energy and the good jobs it creates. We believe in more pipelines and in reducing emissions. We believe in strong public services and a strong jobs-driven economy to help pay for them. This is what we are fighting for every day. Albertans deserve federal leaders who understand the importance of Alberta and our essential role in the federation. Our focus is not on what the federal NDP says or does. Our fight is with Danielle Smith and the separatist UCP. Albertans deserve a better government, and we are here to be that better government.
