@Peter_Bukowski PFF jumped the shark years ago when they went to instant analysis/grades and refused to update anything with the All22. Not saying Quay Walker is the 2nd coming, but PFF grades are one step above the newspaper lining the trash can.

That’s more by default than anything else. Hafley’s defense is built around not giving up big plays, and getting consistent pressure while not blitzing at a high rate. It’s worked so far, as they are a top-5 defense in most metrics.
Where that hurts them is it limits the amount of offensive drives they have since so much of the clock is shot. I believe they’ve had 8 and 8 in the last two games, and league average is 12 or so.They have to be very efficient on offense in order to sustain putting up 27+.
I’d personally like to see them blitz more to try to limit some of those long drives.

@zacobson The main reason they were out there almost 17 minutes is their own play. They gave up drives of 8:39 and 5:31. Offense had 2 drive of over 5 minutes before they got the ball back with 2:22 left in the half.

c'mon, they've been one of the best defenses in football all year. they were out there for almost 17 minutes in the first half; they're gonna get worn down eventually. it's a slow death by papercuts, but the offense has to carry their weight, too

@travisWSN So there is already all kinds of demand for kids' time, but the WIAA wants to add more to that? Make it make sense... WIAA should be reducing those demands and restricting other sports in the summer. Summer is the time to build strength, athleticism, and heal up.

Every other sport is putting all kinds of demands on kids already, whether with their team or club. The hope is this allows HS coaches from all sports to get more time with players instead of pushing them off to club. Not sure if that is too far out of the bag already though.
