@DandC Municipal solar in this area produced at less than 5% of capacity this past winter. Solar is THE worst/least efficient of the major energy sources.

Dear Chuck Schumer, Hi. Black dude here. I can trace my family ancestry to slavery. I even know where they were slaves. My mom experienced Jim Crow. I think I’ve watched every episode of “Eyes On the Prize” when I was younger. With that said… Can you directly explain to me how the SAVE Act is “Jim Crow 2.0?” Literally every black person I know has ID. Literally every black person I know has a car or at least a ride. Literally every black person I know knows how to vote (well… except the ones with felonies… but they don’t count). With your advanced white liberal thinking, you must know more than me. Apparently, as I experience daily on this app, white liberals are experts on being black; even more so than actual black folks. Perhaps you could explain it like I’m five. Someone in my close inner circle had her car stolen this weekend.
The thief crashed into another driver, damaging two cars, and then he took off on foot.
Police caught him.
SHOCKINGLY… he’s a repeat offender. Many times over.
Now insurance is involved. How much of this do you think will be paid by the offender? Probably zero.
I decided to do a little digging. I'm sure what I found is a GIGANTIC coincidence ...
New York’s bail reform went into effect in January 2020.
Average vehicles stolen in NYS each year:
2019: 14,000–15,000
2020: 17,000
2021: 20,000

Then I looked at the average cost of auto insurance in New York:
2019: $1,650
2020: $1,600
