You have to pity the small remnant of “ballot beggars” painfully trying to convince us they have the right to vote for a foreign Head of State. You don’t need to read an Idiots Guide to Elections, just look at any map and it will tell you, you are in Northern Ireland - the United Kingdom. The President of the Republic of Ireland has no jurisdiction here. None. He is a foreign Head of State. Plain and simple. The role literally has no constitutional, governmental or administrative role in Northern Ireland. The Office doesn’t represent a single person here. And in case you haven’t noticed. the people of Republic of Ireland couldn’t care less what you have to say about it.
