on spring break i got this cup that looks just like a plastic cup but is actually made from corn. this is better for the environment bc it can decompose much faster then plastic cups and doesn’t fill up our landfills. #apeswaste @franklinlorax

Niaz and I have started to be more conscious about what we throw away that we could recycle. This small change can reduce landfills! #apeswaste @franklinlorax

#apeswaste @franklinlorax You can reduce the number of plastic water bottles you use by getting a reusable water bottle instead. This way you won't be wasting as much and reducing your carbon footprint

Sendik’s uses a machine called Grind2Energy that turns organic waste into energy. This helps reduce landfills and otherwise food that we waste daily and turns it into the energy we depend on. #apesenergy @franklinlorax

Burning wood for fuel may seem easy but it actually has a lot of negative effects on the environment. For example it causes more soil erosion, as well as it removes oxygen producers from the environment. #apesenergy @franklinlorax

On a windy day like today, I sure wish I had a wind turbine in my yard. Wind turbines don’t require combustion of fossil fuels such as coal meaning that I won’t pollute harmful emissions that lead to acid rain or greenhouse gases. @franklinlorax #APESEnergy

@franklinlorax #apesland Take a closer look at a soil's profile we can learn many things about the sand, including physical, chemical and biological characteristics that differ from each layer. Horizons are defined by obvious physical features, like color and texture. OAEBCR

because we have such a high increase in our population it is causing deforestation in order to build homes so more people have somewhere to live. @franklinlorax #apespop

@franklinlorax #apespop By learning about family planning and the empowerment of women I am also becoming an educated woman that will focus on my education first. This will help down the increase of the population

on our field trip to the hunger task force fish hatchery we tagged fish to calculate the population. if you look on my birds ankle he has a tag similar to the ones we use to put on birds in the wild to calculate their population and track them. @franklinlorax #apesecology

@franklinlorax #apesecology In Wisconsin, we live in the temperate season forset biome. The average yearly precipitation is 30 - 60 inches (75 - 150 cm). This precipitation falls throughout the year, but in the winter it falls as snow.
