Strangest spot of Easter Monday; a camo-wrapped test car in traffic, heading west near Cardiff. I think it was one of these, an Xpeng X9. A Smith and Sniff listener also spotted one near Chieveley. Chinese car makers clearly optimising bank holiday performance in the M4 corridor.

83 years ago today, B-17 “Stella of the 384th BG runs out of fuel & makes a forced landing near Lytchett Minster, England. ✈️ A mobile repair unit repaired the B-17 and gave her new engines, and she flew out on June 27th.

I'm amazed that we had the knowledge and tools to build such precision machines in 1918. This is footage from 1918 at The Handley Page works, Cricklewood, London of "aeroplane" and tank engines being assembled. amazing.🫡
