@ErikaaLauren Absolutely great take, I would agree with you almost every year except these last two. Wemby is able to exceed at both, but he’s 1 of 1. But yes guards need way more consideration!

Unpopular opinion but I'm tired of seeing just 7 footers win this award because they block shots at 7+ feet tall and that's the NBA's definition of defense. Being an elite perimeter guard is harder lol plus Derrick White does that AND block at an elite level for his height

@reaperofmars123 @xwOBA_enjoyer He was running like 23-26% in Japan. Yoshida was actually running 18-19% chase in Japan, and he's been around 25-27 in the majors. There's no world Murakami is running those chase numbers for a full season.

Munetaka Murakami is absolutely fascinating. He's been completely incapable of hitting pitches outside of the strike zone (33.3% O-Contact), but he never, ever chases, so leaving the zone isn't a viable strategy. You basically have to challenge him, and then he can do this.

Here’s a Dechambau hot take: I’m convinced Bryson would be a better player with properly fit, traditional style clubs. I want proof. I want a YouTube video where he gets fit at the Titleist Performance Center, then plays an honest 18 with 2 balls - one with his current clubs, one with his custom fit traditional clubs, to prove that he “needs” these odd clubs, and that they’re actually better. Bring the launch monitor for each shot and explain the numbers. If he needs these clubs and they’re actually better, it should be a simple video.

Unbelievable sequence from Bryson DeChambeau on his 3D printed 5 iron after a 4 over 76 today at the Masters. Reporter: “are you satisfied with the 5?” Bryson: “yeah, I mean, I only hit it once today, so…” Reporter: “how long does it take to make one?” Bryson: “prints in eight hours. Machines, they’re three or four hours. Then you have to cut grooves in it and do a bunch of other stuff. So you can have something within a day and a half. Reporter: “would that be something you would want to do for the weekend?” Bryson: “PFFTTTT 🥴🥴, no? It has to be USGA-conforming. There’s a whole process you have to go through.”
