Painting for the first time in a while. I gave up on blending. I could not be bothered with the “sand.” I had this spark within me that was pretty brutally and repeatedly shattered over the last (almost) two years. Since then, I struggled to paint, to write, to create anything at all. Recently, the spark has returned like a long-lost friend, and it is as if I have awakened from a most realistic dream. With it, the memory & understanding that what I have within me cannot be taken from me. No amount of external force has the power to strip away what God has intended, not for me, and not for any of us. We will always find our way back to the still, small voice within. Close your ears to the world and follow the North Star!
