Stop #DualCitizenship The majority of them hold dual citizenship. The United States should consider eliminating dual citizenship. Advocates of this position argue that holding citizenship in multiple countries can create conflicting loyalties and undermine national security. All this fraud will stop on its own.

A message I received last night from another H-1B holder. He's an engineer. His wife is a cardiologist for the VA. They've been waiting in the green card backlog for years. They've been unable to visit their parents in India because of the egregious consular delays. Disclaimer: After asking him if I could share this, he modified it lightly on ChatGPT to remove potentially identifying details of himself.

BJP’s record win in West Bengal would not be possible without the efforts and struggles of countless Karyakartas over generations. I salute them all. For years, they have worked hard on the ground, overcome all sorts of adversities and spoken about our development agenda. They are the strength of our Party. @BJP4Bengal

No matter who won or lost in each state, India's democracy has won yet again. And @ECISVEEP has once again done a tremendous job running elections for 4+ states - with almost the population of the US voting. TVK's tremendous performance, INC's win in Kerala, and BJP routing an unpopular TMC in Bengal - all happened because India gave the power of vote to every citizen equally and fairly. Next time, please don't fall for foreign psyops amplified by local politics that India's institutions are compromised, elections are rigged, or voting should be in paper. The foreign forces and DS are trying to game India's democracy and make it malleable to them. Your favorite politician and party may win because of it temporarily. But in the end, it is India and you who will lose in the long term. The foreign adversary will win without having to fire a bullet just making us doubt our institutions and hate our governments.

@dmuthuk Brilliant suggestion. I second it. If they want to crack TN, they need to start from the drawing board and make the bold move of giving full control to Annamalai in starting and running everything from ground up.

This H-1B worker has lived in the US for nearly 20 years and built a family here. His mom was dying in India. To visit her, he would need to wait months to book a consular appointment--with the soonest one available likely being scheduled one year out. He made the difficult choice of not visiting his dying mom because leaving without an appointment would mean separation from his children, job, and his other obligations. Much of the commentary around immigration focuses on how such bureaucratic burdens undermine immigrants’ ability to contribute and innovate. But we must remember that this red tape also prevents these people from being fully engaged with their own lives and meaningfully present in the lives of others. This matters too, and these seemingly non-economic problems will eventually translate into economic costs. If America is no longer a place where people feel empowered to be the best versions of themselves as they celebrate, struggle, and grieve, it ceases not just being the land of opportunity, but also the land of dignity and purpose. linkedin.com/posts/gautam-d…

The Indian national (who arrived in 2007) is still on H-1B because he is stuck in the multi-decade employment-based green card backlog. US law caps EB-2/EB-3 green cards per country at ~7%. India’s massive demand creates 50–150+ year waits for many. H-1B extensions beyond 6 years are allowed while an I-140 is approved and the priority date isn’t current. He can’t naturalize without first getting permanent residency.

The responses to this are a good reminder that a lot of anti-immigrant keyboard warriors have no idea what the law says. “He had 20 years to become a citizen!” No. Thanks to country of origin caps, the wait time for Indians can be over *100 years*—just to get a green card. Many die waiting in line. We tell people seeking the American Dream to come here “the right way,” and then we punish them for doing so.

@RepFine Why should only Congress be involved in this matter? Let’s end dual citizenship.

Armenians should not serve in Congress. Neither should Somalis. Or Guatemalans. Or — wait for it— Israelis. If you are a citizen of a foreign country, you shouldn’t serve in ours. We need to pass my bill to stop the invasion of dual citizens in Congress. NOW.
