Got to see the Railway200 Inspiration train today. Good to see it. I think had I seen this as a child then my career path might’ve been different #Railway200

@concaveasitwere @cjparry @railnigel Rail for it would be a better option. It’s already chaos with traffic to cross onto Anglesey. Anyway it’ll be interesting to see what happens

@becsterdotcom @cjparry @railnigel It is and nuclear is expensive business so as % of cost railway doesn’t look so bad and removes lot of local objections . Smr though isn’t quite as slam dunk as large nuclear for rail

Does the Wylfa announcement mean that consideration is being given to reopening the Amlwch branch to enable rail transport? @railnigel

@cjparry @railnigel Likely examined to extent logistics work and anyone holding nuclear stations has very deep pockets so cost of reopen unlikely to be prohibitive .

That’s me striding along Paddington P1 here! Jack Boskett snapped it after we’d all just spent a frantic hour with cloths & soap on P1 cleaning the exterior of @railway200 Inspiration train for its launch: it’d got grimy on its long run in. Looks v smart in the pictures🥳

An open letter of thanks to organisers of today’s SUPERB @BermondseyStLdn festival. All ages, cultures, all the community. Just ace. 2 parks & street of fun, stalls &shops. Whilst bullshit is peddled by some on social about London, reality is: it’s never been better to live here.

Alright folks… looking at booking a dog friendly trip during next Feb half term. Any recommendations (not Centre Parcs) AND is there a local heritage railway open?

Why carry plants across the garden in 3 minutes - when you can activate the miniature railway and cause miniature train CHAOS instead? Gardening at Ickenham & District Society of Model Engineers usually involves trains more than perhaps strictly necessary, tbh🌱🚂
