@knutsvanholm @ToneVays BIP110 is a direct result of the block size limit. Artificially limiting block space creates arguments over which transactions are important enough to squeeze through the 1 MB.

Because it interprets the question rationally: when we say that the NYA hard fork didn't activate, we don't mean the software magically stopped activating (even if it actually did, due to an off by one bug), we mean the nobody of the notable proponents kept urging users to run it. If most notable BIP110 proponents called it off, it would be off, even if some unattended machine somewhere keeps running the software.

Just in case you were wondering if they were gonna suddenly be quiet next month or admit defeat or go away, here’s the truth of the matter…said straight from the horses mouth.

BREAKING: BIP-110 odds have sharply pulled back on Predyx. YES is now trading at 10.24%, down 4%. ⚡ 213.83M sats volume 💧 1M sats liquidity 👥 6,429 trades After the run-up to new highs, the market is now repricing the activation/enforcement odds back near 1 in 10.

Probably a good time to debunk a psyop from the times of the Blocksize War. A soft fork can have a chainsplit, and a hard fork can have no chainsplit. When Luke or other devs refer to a potential "Bitcoin hardfork" they mean the latter. Sorry, no airdrop. cc @giacomozucco
