The cost of fast food in America continues to climb
A regular cheese quesadilla at Taco Bell now comes out to $8.06
For a tortilla and cheese….
I looked it up. In 2019 this same quesadilla cost $2.39. That’s a 223% increase in price
The markup on this quesadilla compared to what it actually cost to make is 1100%
Many menu items at Taco Bell also saw price increases of 119% since 2019

Gov. Abbott froze $110 million in public safety grants for Houston and said it will be pulled if they don’t revoke the ordinance tomorrow because it violates an agreement with the state. “If these measures are implemented to limit that cooperation there will be immediate impacts to public safety, national security, and border security,” ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Houston acting Field Office Director Paul McBride said.” Among those arrested this month, according to ICE: 1. Haydee Mercado-Rodriguez, a criminal illegal alien and MS-13 gang member from El Salvador, who was convicted and sentenced to 228 years for two counts of aggravated homicide and once count each of aggravated extortion, and participation in a terrorist organization before she fled to the U.S. In 2024, the Biden administration recklessly released her into the U.S. She was arrested April 9 2. Minh Duy Tong Nguyen, a convicted murderer from Vietnam, with a final order of removal from over 25 years ago. Nguyen was arrested April 16 3. Carlos Carmona-Palomo, wanted for homicide in Mexico & illegally entered the U.S. three times and has been convicted twice for drug possession and once each for sexual assault, carrying a prohibited weapon, illegal reentry, and larceny. He was arrested April 6 & then deported 4. Luis Hernandez Martinez, a twice-deported criminal illegal migrant and convicted murderer from Mexico, who was convicted of murder in Upshur County, Texas, in 2003, and has also been convicted of illegal entry. Chicago is drowning under Democrat leadership
Chicago residents, businesses and city employees altogether owe the city more than $8.1 billion in overdue debt
“The report revealed antiquated systems and policies — prevent the city's Department of Finance from tracking and collecting all of the money owed —No one City Department tracks the debt. The problem, different departments use different systems and they don't talk to each other”
“For example, when people call paramedics and ambulances, they're supposed to pay the city's emergency medical services. The Department of Finance told Office of Inspector General $327 million had not been collected, but investigators found a lot more. The total owed skyrocketed to $1.5 billion”
Some of the uncollected money:
- Administrative hearings violations (fines for code/Municipal Code issues): $3.09 billion
- Parking/vehicle violations: $2.59 billion
- Emergency Medical Services (ambulance): ~$1.55 billion
- Water, sewer, and refuse: $846 million

Nashville Tennessee business has seen their property taxes increase $52,000 just since 2020
In 2020, property taxes were $79,000
In 2026, they are now $131,000
What causes this increase was the city came in and did a new massive property tax assessment, which skyrocketed everyone
Davidson County saw a median 45% increase in property values countywide between the last reassessment and the 2025 one
Real estate agents told this business owner his property might only sell for $7.5 million today, but the county gave his property a $11.2 million assessment
This is legalized extortion
