@sarabollman Pragmatic dharma gets people to "enlightenment" pretty decently, even though their approaches are not very effective. But the problem is that enlightenment is extremely overrated and you would be better off doing something else with your time.

@trash_is_good @starjumperrr000 totally agreed. i like some of that derivative shoegaze cause it's a great sound (LSD & the Search for God comes to mind). Kairon; Irse is maybe the sole neo shoegaze band that really smacked me with its originality.

@starjumperrr000 Shoegaze has to be one of the most derivative subgenres going, literally every band is pulling from the exact same influences, and they are all writing the exact same songs. Take a classic like “Isn’t Anything” by MBV, it’s night and day in terms of originality and quality.
