@FPWellman No one spied on his campaign. Wasn't a hoax. Wasn't made up.

@HmmVryIntrstng @FPWellman I'm genuinely curious what series of observations drove him to actually publicly write that. What advertising did he feel was inauthentic; & how did he conclude it was created by old gay consultants? Like... wtf?

Just the starting premise that he speaks as gospel that there are “few straight men under 40 in the Democratic consultant class” is wrong. Give me a fucking break.

@FPWellman Reading his follow-ups, he tries to argue that he's just saying Dems don't message well to young males. The problem is 1) he can't really argue Trump or Republicans do it any better; but more importantly 2) if Harris loses it probably won't be because of the young male vote.

NEW: Elon Musk is spending heavily to help President Trump, stumping for him in Pennsylvania -- and now he's making a $1 million-a-day pledge. @AsteadWH & @mkraju discuss whether it's all effective. #InsidePolitics

@staringispolite @AnthonyMKreis @InsidePolitics @AsteadWH @mkraju To make it even clearer: this is inducement to register to receive a chance at a cash prize. That. Is. Illegal. It doesn't matter if not a single rally attendee wasn't previously registered or had already decided to vote for Trump. That's irrelevant.

@staringispolite @AnthonyMKreis @InsidePolitics @AsteadWH @mkraju The content of his rally is to clearly urge people to vote for Trump. Giving a voter $1 million to vote is illegal. Giving someone a chance at $1 million if they register is illegal. Technicalities can make a case harder to prosecute, but it doesn't change that this is illegal.

@staringispolite @AnthonyMKreis @InsidePolitics @AsteadWH @mkraju He is telling people if you register & vote for Trump, he might give you $1 million. That is illegal. The law is based on *his intent*. The technicalities of how he words it, if a rally attendee was already registered, already planned to vote, etc are irrelevant.

@YouDownWithOCP @ElectProject He's offering attendees of his rallies a chance of $1 million. To attend the rally you must be a registered voter & sign his petition. This violates 18 USC § 597 - Expenditures to influence voting. Also 52 USC § 10307(c) - paying someone to register to vote.

@YouDownWithOCP @ElectProject He's offering the chance of receiving cash in exchange for a vote. This is blatantly illegal. It doesn't matter any "but what if" technicalities.

@ElectProject Isn't he simply just lighting money on fire by giving it to people to sign some dumb petition? How is this "bribing voters"?

Said goodbye to my sweet Muffy this morning. It was her time. Almost 23 years she was part of our family. She was my baby and a part of me for as long as I can remember. The house is so quiet and empty without her.
