@ben__olson__ @scadutree lol, I know more than Vaati or Smoughtown. They are both wrong on half the ideas they peddle for views. On Morgott, the game directly states "he was never loved". That really encapsulates the fact they were never welcomed on the surface by Marika in the slightest.

@ben__olson__ @scadutree If they were frowned upon, and still able to live on the surface, then there is no point to their banishment underground is there? The idea is that Morgott (and Mohg), are able to break out of their confines during the chaos of the Shattering War.
