Our Codex dashboards are showing increased rate of users hitting rate limits and since we don't fully understand why I have made the cautious decision of resetting the usage limits for all plans. Enjoy.
I also wanted to celebrate us finding a pocket of fraudulent accounts that we banned and have helped us regain some compute. The fight against abuse never stops, but it's important to mark the moment and make it a little shared victory.

You will soon be able to connect the Codex app to a remote host 👀 It means that you can run your threads in YOLO mode in a VM while using the nice GUI!

Hmm I can't reproduce this. Only known issue is if you have the agent in "Native" but you added a project that's in a WSL network share it won't detect Git. but the other way around should work (WSL with native drive project) and WSL on WSL should also work. Can you try to remove and re-add and restart the app?

If you are seeing this error when turning on WSL mode, I'm looking into the issue. In the meantime to deactivate it:
1. Open %USERPROFILE%\.codex\.codex-global-state.json
2. Change runCodexInWindowsSubsystemForLinux to false
3. Restart the app
You can ask Codex to run `wsl` commands instead (it often figures it out) until this issue is fixed. Apologies 🙏

@ajambrosino This happens after changing the option for the agent to run in WSL mode. Been doing that for the codex CLI in windows, but can't seem to get the app option to work. Already tried with a fresh codex cli installation etc. Any ideas on what I could do?

Alright the fix is finally rolling out in the Microsoft Store! Head over to the store and check for updates. After updating you should be on version 26.304.1143. If your app was bricked before it should automatically work after updating. To find the version inside the app press `Alt` and click File -> About Codex. Apologies for the hiccup and delay 🙏
