@HowellsDan When I’m at my best there’s the session plan of WHAT is being delivered (content) and a plan of HOW it’s being delivered (pedagogy) layered over that. When I’m not at my best it’s usually because I don’t have the pedagogy piece clear and well prepared.

As a physical performance coach or physio, do you consider a pedagogical approach in your planning?

@DHMov Hi Damian, are you aware of any studies on the reliability and/or validity of accel/decel measures in GPS tech? Primarily interested in the instantaneous “max” measures they provide.

So, I’m not interested in change of direction/deceleration deficit measures or split times attained from timing gates.

@Coachgriffin88 It is another ‘tool’ in our toolbox. When used at the right time on the right person for the right reason it is great. When not, it is a shocker all round. As Bob Marley said - Don’t blame the tool and the work it can do, but the man that’s behind it.

What are other S&C coaches thoughts on exercises done with a floating heel? Should athletes do more of them? Or are they gimmicky and unnecessary?
