CD sales are booming as physical music makes a comeback. 😍 On Wednesday (July 15), music data service Luminate released its mid-year report, revealing the trend. According to their statistics, CD sales jumped 16 percent to 16.3 million units in the first six months of 2026. This stat greatly outpaced vinyl's 2.4 percent uptick. The CD resurgence is due to collection building, price accessibility and huge K-Pop album releases. Ironically, approximately half of Gen Z and Millennial CD purchasers do not actually own a CD player, Luminate reports.

I love The Making of Overboard! feature in the latest Retro Gamer. This is one of those hidden gem PS1 games that is still incredible to play. The multiplayer mode (which this feature states was a late addition) is such chaotic fun.

It worked!!! WipEout 2048 on PSVita is back online! I don’t think I’d ever realistically get the plat (the campaign is so hard!) but the online is so much fun!

@sophie_fern_r The revival in cassette sales has been "more erratic than vinyl" apparently! I've opted to steer clear of the cassette revival, it's one expense too many 😃
