Pretty much the entirety of Anthony Edwards's postgame media was him talking about his frustration with the way teams are putting two on him, taking away his opportunities to be a scorer and forcing him to get off the ball. "It's not how I want to play, of course. I'm only 23, I don't wanna just be passing the ball all night... But the way they're guarding me, I think I have to." @AndersJorstad Certainly, and I’m not arguing Solano is clearly a better choice than Rojas or anything. But the discourse around Rojas was a bit much.
It’s reasonable to non-tender Rojas for the opportunity cost and pivot to a similarly valuable player later.

@bendiddy Rojas is also younger, and since more value comes from his defense, he’s less at risk of having a complete drop off in value from the T-Mobile Park effect
