@delaneykingrox 'Cast To' does this as well, as soon as there is a class reference of any kind.
It's still just a pointer, but it need to know what it is, in order to know what it is. 😂
English

@ebuchi_tancor @delaneykingrox Hahaha, good catch. 😂
I've got to say, one thing I still love about blueprint, is that you can almost always tell something is badly in need of some TLC at a glance. 😂
English

@bendrury_space @delaneykingrox So cursed wiring. It’s actually heavily overlays with int input from behind lol. I was like wtf you can cast actor ref to int?!

@OccultGameDev @delaneykingrox Us, as we micro optimise the shit out of someone else's code while ignoring our own!

@bendrury_space @delaneykingrox Agreed! There's also optimizations/fixes that can be done here, since there's a bug where it will continue to loop thru and add the same amount to any other stacks in the inventory, and early-breaking out of the loop when a stack is found... but twitter, and post scope.
English

@delaneykingrox Interesting! Never thought of doing this. 🤔
I'd also recommend hiding the graph gridlines, it'll stop you spending unconscious time on making everything line up to the grid. 😅

@OccultGameDev @delaneykingrox This is the cleanest solution! It shows good intention and is the most readable.
If you want a more custom solution you can create your own 'For Each' macro just replicate the standard macro but replace the 'get by copy' with a 'get by reference' in your own version.
English

@delaneykingrox This would be how I did it! Tried to copy your structure closely.
IIRC: For Loops output Pass-By-Copy Variables, looking at the For Loop Macro it seems to confirm this, so to have those values update in the Array, you'd need to then set the value back into the array.

English

@delaneykingrox Great Thread! Inventory is always so very specific, there will almost never be a robust solution. Build only want you need as you need it. Avoid adding 'just in case' code at all costs, it'll just make more work for you in the future. Also, Paper prototype is your friend here.

@bendrury_space all of these paintings were originally commissioned for Lancer!

@ariadne_sage Awesome!
Have you looked at Geometry Scripting to supplement GeoNodes? I've not tried eather system yet myself but I think they could be a powerful combination! 😀
English

@tillfreitag 3. I always love a dorsal structure on the heads of dinos.

@rajetic It's very disheartening seeing so much of the population flat out ignoring the still very relevant covid virus.
Also, I've been strait up yelled at for wearing a mask in public. As if my wearing a mask is hurting others. 😑

After months of telling myself I needed to make a group illustration of them, it's finally done!

@Unrandomthought @ajtclimate Short answer: It's not been given a reason not to. (But even that concept breaks down)

@ajtclimate This is wild.
Why would ChatGPT deceive?
Was it trained to do that?
