Seeing things from the other person’s point of view is a difficult task. First, you have to overcome your ego. Then, your assumptions and distractions. Finally, you have to muster up interest, compassion and the willingness to learn. It’s hard work, but worth it! (1/3)

@WrongsToWrite When did you started studying the Bible? I’ve recently started to read it and so far I agree with everything you stated.

I've been agnostic most my life. But over the past few years, I noticed a pattern among my smartest and most successful friends/mentors: They all believe in Jesus Christ. I've always been open to the idea of God, but never took the time to learn more. Because of this, I felt the Bible contained a lot of "far-fetched" ideas. But the more I've learned, the more I realized how ignorant I was. Although I'm newer to all this, I've seen stronger (logical and moral) arguments for His existence. I've even experienced inexplicable events happen because of praying. Even if I take out religion and view it as philosophy, I see 0 downside to living a Christian life. I've seen the result of many who choose money, sex, or themselves as their "God." It's fucking empty. But the funny thing to me is that it takes as much faith to believe we're created by a big bang, simulation, etc. I don't claim to have the answers, but I wanted to write this for anyone who might be where I was: Sitting on the fence, and forming opinions without ever looking into it for myself. The more I've delved into the topic, the more I've opened my mind.

The last 5/6 years my main mission everyday online has been to: •Encourage. •Build up & help. •Pour into others. •Stay relentlessly positive. •Be a light in a pretty dark place. Today I'm ASKING for your help. Feeling super LOW. Nothing in the tank at all. It's hard when others count on you to be THE POSITIVE ONE, & 99% of the time I am--- but lately it's been a huge struggle. Writing gratitude has felt HARD. At the gym now & getting here was HARD. Starting feels HARDER. Life is just on HARD MODE lately. In a funk, low state, & asking if I've ever helped you in anyway over the years to please say something kind, motivating, or encouraging below. I'm gonna attempt to lift & then read everyone after & pray/journal & turn my day/mind around. Thanks. ❤️🙏 When you can't sprint, run. When you can't run, walk. When you can't walk, crawl. Crawling forward today, but staying in the fight.

When you allow your kids to quit, they never learn the beautiful law of SOWING AND REAPING. Plus, the motivation comes after the work, at least 99% of the time. They need to experience that as well.

Two words that changed my life: Nobody cares. When you’re winning, nobody cares. When you’re losing, nobody cares. It doesn’t mean nobody loves you, it just means nobody cares about your life as much as you do. It just means that you are in control. It’s on you. Nobody cares.

The recommended dosage for creatine is 5 grams a day but in 5 years I believe it will be 10-15 grams or higher. I'm finding improved cognitive and physical benefits at higher dosages.

BJJ BEGINNER 😀 COMPETITION PREP ADVICE A lot of good advice here. Another contrarian approach is to CHANGE NOTHING. Train as usual. Eat as usual. I tell my white belts that they're training to win Black Belt tournaments, not white belt ones. The point is to take the psychological weight off the results of the tournament. The concept that PERFECT PREPARATION is needed to perform well can create a stress of its own. Right now, LONG TERM SKILL DEVELOPMENT is your priority.

How should one approach training the week of a competition?
