@dhh @robzolkos yes! spawning isolated envs was always great for devX, but coding agents made it a lot more powerful

Git worktrees are perfect for starting sandboxes for agents to propose a solution to a problem while you keep working on master or another branch. Here's the bash I use to start a new worktree/branch with "ga fix" (i.e fizzy--fix) and then "gd" after it's done to nuke it again.

@steipete type-safety is great for coding agent performance, and ime they write drizzle queries one-shot for most cases, can always fallback to sql as escape hatch

Prediction: ORM's will become less of a thing with agents. They are just really good at writing SQL or using libraries that are very close to SQL. I moved from Drizzle to Kysely and there's fewer loops + faster queries and less code to compile.

@thdxr @ahwelgemoed I think using “preview” deployments is closest to the sst way, but dev local is the default cloudflare way

sst's approach has been to deploy real resource even in dev mode and then upload code to the worker every time you change a file but this seems counter to cloudflare's direction they're pushing where everything runs locally ...but wrangler can only do 1 worker at a time so i need to spawn a bunch of them and then opens up a new can of worms

@mattpocockuk that’s interesting, I did jsondiffpatch.com some years ago and people always get confused because array diffing requires a hash function to match items (if objects) betweeen 2 arrays, this could be a solution especially it ends up being cheaper than a deep equals

Here's the proposal, it's being discussed at TC39 this week. Looking forward to see how it develops. What do you think? github.com/acutmore/propo…

Records & Tuples are nearly dead. But the problem they were trying to solve - comparing object shapes in JavaScript - is still very much alive. Here's the proposed new solution: Composites.

@shellscape @yusukebe I was on jsx-email but moved to a mjml~>moustache at build time to avoid compat issues with cloudflare workers. but looking forward to come back 👍

@beneidel @yusukebe you definitely want to use a library that does the heavy compliance lifting for you. otherwise you can easily end up with an email that looks great in the browser and poo in email clients. mjml isn't bad, but jsx-email is a great choice for that.

@yusukebe amazing!! 🙌 currently using a build step with mjml (it doesn’t run on cloudflare workers) to get compliant templates, thank you again

Sino done o job done, sorted, bish-bash-bosh o bada bing bada boom.

@DrizzleORM so now we can maybe use a (small, oss) LLM to autoname the migration file based on content? 🤔

Drizzle Kit gets an upgrade! - 🥳PostgreSQL multi-schema is fixed! You can now safely specify tables and enums with same name in different schemas. Big thanks to one of our gold sponsors to sponsor this fix - 🔽 Drizzle Kit now pulls both schema and relations based on foreign keys from database, no need to specify them manually - 😏 You can name you generated migration files, no more 0002_adorable_human_torch.sql - 💪 No more push:pg, generate:mysql. Just use push, generate and specify dialect in config file once - 🆕 drizzle-kit migrate - new command to apply generated migrations to the database - You can now use Drizzle Studio and all drizzle-kit commands with AWS Data API inside a VPC, check ion.sst.dev/docs/start/aws… for more info! - bug fixes and improvements
