Heavy to be at the beautiful campus @IowaWesleyan as it’s impending closure hangs in every room. Impressive the way people are standing in the face of it and hosting @NAFSA for our state.

I’ll join my excellent colleague Katlyn O’Shaughnessy to talk about our @UIGradCollege course Public Speaking for Academics (now enrolling for fall!) and the role it plays in international grad students’ professional development.

Today is Iowa NAFSA! Looking forward to connecting with international educators from our state. AND perhaps looking ahead to @nafsaregion4 in the fall?!?

She sunk the first, and what must have been muscle memory kicked in and she stepped forward and held both hands out for the high fives they normally do when they make! With no one there it was kind of funny, but more to me seemed a sign of just how deep their camaraderie goes.

My favorite moment happens near near the end @IowaWBB win over Colorado game on Friday: Kate Martin was at the free throw line to shoot two, and the rest were all back on defense (so only Colorado was there with her under the basket).
