These aren't the only causes of death, public policy can tackle more than one thing at once, these are issues that are dealt with by different branches of government with different budgets. RTC harm is generally underfunded.

But the point I was trying (badly) to make was if your teenage son was twice as likely to be stabbed as to be knocked off his bike - which is what the statistics suggest - where would you like councils and police to concentrate their efforts?

Thanks to all who suggested I should wear brighter clothes to stop bad drivers driving badly. I'm now wearing an extreme number of bright lights, a reflective jacket and a fluorescent helmet. So can anyone explain why this just happened?

@johnredwood Because private train companies make it more expensive to travel within the UK than to go abroad and the beaches and rivers are full of sewage thanks to private water companies

Why not take a holiday break in the UK to avoid the delays into France? Plenty of great places to stay.

I saw many families out on #bikes today, mainly within #LTNs. When I saw kids outside of the #LTNs, on busier rds, #cycling was harder to navigate & included pavement hopping etc. Investment in proper #cycle lanes along busier rds will enable more kids to use a 🚲to get around.

@CloverSummers @marksandspencer How is it that when you overtake a cyclist you allow 1.5m, a short distance later when in traffic that same cyclist squeezes past you on nearside or down centre of road between traffic not allowing 1.5m distance!! When you move again you have to pass same cyclist and on it goes!
