I emailed the Austrian soccer federation to find out if there are any fan initiatives planned for the World Cup. They replied quickly. After a 28-year absence they have NOTHING planned. 🇦🇹😭

@Metalpanthers Feel you and tot agree. Still feels rough man. Sucks to lose when we play well. Sucks to feel like it’s a wasted season with a team this good when your very best are missing. I am hopeful and we are still amazing and obv the depth shows, but we’ve been pampered these past 3 years

The process be processing, and the results will come if they keep playing as they have the last 3 games. There’s obviously still stuff to improve on, but putting up these results without Barkov, Tkachuk, gadjovic, nosek, Marchand, and Bob tn is very impressive. Deserved to win

@DrJesseMorse @DrJesseMorse Alexander barkov also had surgery the day after and is expected to be out 7-9 months per the team. Any chance it can be “signifcantly sooner” ie 6 months?

Jayson Tatum suffered his Achilles tear on May 13, 2025. He had surgery less than 24 hours from when he suffered the injury, which is unheard of, but could prove to be invaluable. Dr. Martin O’Malley performed the surgery and he was the only physician on a newly released cutting edge paper regarding Achilles rehabilitation. If we look at the ‘Return to Sport’ in this paper, it lists 24+ weeks, assuming he hits all of his benchmarks of recovery (isokinetic/isometric strength >90% LSI) That would put the date as October 28, 2025.
